HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was injured at a Houston store because of slick substance in an aisle.

Christy Vang filed a complaint on Jan. 3 in the Harris County District Court against HEB Grocery Co. LP alleging that the supermarket operator failed to maintain its store premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 10, 2017, the plaintiff was shopping at defendant's store in Houston when she slipped and fell on a slick substance on the floor. She alleges she suffered injuries to her neck, back, knee, hip and other parts of her body as a result.

The plaintiff holds HEB Grocery Co. LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect its premises where the dangerous condition existed and failed to correct the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Lawrence W. Sims of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
