HOUSTON – A Harris County woman is suing Circle K Stores, Inc. in state district court, alleging that she purchased contaminated diesel fuel for her vehicle from the business last year.

Harris County District Court records show that Katherine “Katie” Deal filed a lawsuit on Jan. 11 in the 129th District Court.

Deal drove a 2014 Porsche Cayenne Diesel which registered nearly 70,000 miles and bore a problem-free fuel line. According to her suit, she bought diesel fuel from one of the defendant’s stations early last October and experienced problems with the Porsche shortly afterwards.

An inspection of the car determined that it was reacting to the fuel in question. Deal says that the vehicle suffered about $27,000 worth of damage.

A second opinion confirmed the inspection’s result, the suit adds.

Consequently, Deal seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by the law firm Daw & Ray, LLP in Houston.
