Ross Dress for Less employee alleges she was injured while stocking shelves

HOUSTON – A woman alleges she was injured while stocking shelves for her department store employer and is seeking more than $200,000 in monetary relief.

Teresa Perlacia filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the Harris County District Court against Ross Dress for Less Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 22, 2017, she was injured during her employment with the defendant while stocking shelves.

The plaintiff holds Ross Dress for Less Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate assistance and failed to properly train and supervise employees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million and such other and further relief in accordance with law. She is represented by Sofia E. Bruera of Bruera Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
