HOUSTON – A Houston business is alleged to have performed defective work at a Webster property.

Harry Hartley II and Christine Hartley filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the Harris County District Court against Majestic Stone LLC citing the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices - Consumer Protection Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they contracted the defendant to fabricate and install stone and porcelain countertops at their residential property in Webster for $36,293.04.

The plaintiffs allege the defendant provided "shoddy work," including cracks or chips in a shower and kitchen island and incorrectly drilled faucet holes.

The plaintiffs hold Majestic Stone LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide services in a good and workmanlike manner and despite repeated complaints about the quality of the work, defendant refused to correct the same.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which they may be justly entitled. They are represented by David W. Pace in Houston.
