Lawsuits

HOUSTON – A northwest Houston beauty business has been named in a customer’s personal injury lawsuit, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Shamia Darden filed the suit against Noa Houston 8, LLC, doing business as Noa Nail Bar and Lounge, on Jan. 15 in Harris County 165th District Court, claiming that she suffered a burn to her leg while using the defendant’s steam room on Feb. 23, 2017.

“Overheated steam shot out from a pipe from under her seat and severely burned her leg,” the original petition says.

Consequently, Darden seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Eric D. Nielsen of The Nielsen Law Firm, P.C. in Houston.
