HOUSTON – A Harris County man has filed a suit against his employer after he was injured in a fall from a ladder while painting at a Houston job site.

Ahmad Wajak filed a complaint on Jan. 14 in the Harris County District Court against Hybrid One Construction LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was hired by defendant to perform painting work on a newly constructed home. On March 12, 2018, the suit states the plaintiff was using a ladder to paint the master bedroom walls when he fell off the ladder. He alleges he suffered injuries to his arm, shoulder and back and incurred considerable medical expenses and lost wages because of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Hybrid One Construction LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a reasonably safe place to work, failed to supervise the worksite and failed to provide a safe ladder.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Jill Yaziji of Yaziji Law Firm in Houston.
