HOUSTON – A man alleges he was injured while working at a Tomball hotel because of an unsafe working environment.

Donald Peterson filed a complaint on Jan. 28 in the Harris County District Court against Intercontinental Hotels Group Resources Inc. and Intercontinental Hotels Group Operating Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 12, 2017, he was in the course and scope of his employment with the defendants when he sustained injuries while working at the Staybridges Suites in Tomball. He alleges he has suffered severe pain, mental anguish, loss of earnings and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Intercontinental Hotels Group Resources Inc. and Intercontinental Hotels Group Operating Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide him proper assistance, failed to ensure a safe working environment and failed to provide adequate training.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Sofia Bruera of Bruera Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
