HOUSTON – A Massachusetts man alleges in a state district lawsuit that his 10,000-mile journey from Boston to New Zealand last month was interrupted by a slip and fall at a local airport.

Harris County District Court records show that Christopher Griner filed the suit against the City of Houston, the Houston Airport System, and George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Feb. 8 in the 11th District Court.

Griner recalls being in the restroom at Bush Airport’s Terminal D when he slipped and fell on a “slippery, water-like substance” on the floor. He reportedly sustained injuries to his legs, back, pelvis, and other parts of his body for which he was transported to the hospital.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by the law firm Arnold & Itkin LLP in Houston.
