HOUSTON – A Harris County woman has filed a lawsuit following an alleged slip and fall at a Mexican restaurant in Sugar Land two years ago, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Marilyn Guidry is suing Café Adobe Interests, LLC in the Harris County 129th District Court, claiming that slipped and fell on a set of stairs as she left a private room on the eatery’s second floor on Feb. 10, 2017.

“The area by the stairs was poorly lit, did not have any handrails, and was not handicap accessible,” the suit says.

Guidry’s purported injuries required surgery.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by the law firm Roberts Markland LLP in Houston.
