Chemical burn to arm prompts customer to sue hair salon

Hairsalon

HOUSTON – A Harris County woman has filed a lawsuit alleging that she suffered a chemical burn during a hair appointment almost two years ago, recent Harris County District Court records show.

In the suit filed on Feb. 25 in the 190th District Court, Jacquelyn Martin lays responsibility for the Mar. 16, 2017 incident on Lalla Coulibaly, doing business as Lalla’s African Braiding.

“One of the defendant’s employees spilled a chemical concoction all over Ms. Martin’s arm,” the original petition says.

Martin describes her injuries as “serious, disabling, and disfiguring.”

Consequently, she seeks unspecified monetary damages.

Ciro J. Samperi of the law firm Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz in Houston is representing the complainant.
