HOUSTON — A Houston couple is suing mall operators, alleging a malfunctioning escalator injured the wife.

Hongyan Geng and Fulian Shang filed a complaint Feb. 25 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Memorial City Mall LLP, Memorial City Mall CP LLC and Otis Elevator Company, alleging negligence and failure to prevent a dangerous incident from occurring

According to the complaint, on March 18, 2017, Geng was shopping at Memorial City Mall with her daughter.
