GALVESTON — A Louisiana man is suing an energy company, alleging he was injured while working on the defendant's platform.

Ray Plowden filed a complaint March 1 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Talos Energy LLC, alleging negligence and gross negligence

According to the complaint, on Sept. 10, 2018, Plowden was working as a blaster/painter on Talos Ram Powell platform. The suit says the plaintiff suffered disabling injuries when he was required to move a hospital bed into a medic room. Plowden says he sustained pain and suffering, medical expenses and lost time from work.

The plaintiff alleges Talos Energy failed to provide adequate equipment and failed to ensure the safety of workers aboard the platfrom.

Plowden seeks trial by jury, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just and apropriate relief. He is represented by attorney Marcus R. Spagnoletti of Spagnoletti Law Firm in Houston.
