HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing her fomer eimplyer, alleging she was terminated from her position due to her attention deficit disorder (ADD).

Meyosha Scott filed a complaint March 5 in Harris County District Court against Sysco Resources Services LLC, doing business as Sysco Business Services, alleging unfair termination.

According to the complaint, Scott, who suffers from ADD began working for Sysco in 2017. The suit says Scott was told that because of her ailment she needed special accommodations at her workplace.

On Jan. 5, 2018, Scott alleges she was removed from her position and was told that she would have to accept a lower-paying job or accept severance pay and drop any charges of disability discrimination.

Scott said she accepted the lower-paying position and, after struggling significantly in the new position, she was terminated by Sysco Business Services.

Scott seeks jury trial, damages between $200,000 and $1 million, plus attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorney David C. Holmes of the Law Office of David C. Holmes in Houston.
