HOUSTON — A Florida man is suing a Houston company, alleging he was injured at a west Texas well site due to management negligence.

Michael Chapman filed a complaint March 12 in the Harris County Circuit Court against Independence Resources Management LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 30, Chapman was at the defendant's west Texas property working for RDUB Trucking LLC. The suit says Chapman was working with a vacuum truck that was contracted by the defendant to dispose of waste.

Chapman says he due to an oil well that was pooling at his feet, he was caused to fall on a piston, causing severe injuries to his lower back.

Chapman seeks a jury trial, damages, costs of court and all other just relief. He is represented by attorneys Ryan H. Zehl and Matthew Greenberg of Zehl & Associates in Houston.
