HOUSTON — A Houston couple is suing a construction company, alleging the defendants failed to complete repairs as was specified in the contract. .

Carlos and Julia Galvani filed a complaint March 14 in Harris County District Court against Enchanted Homes LLC and Joanna Samartzis, alleging fraud in real estate transaction, common law fraud, breach of contract, and violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act.

The suit says the Galvani property is at 3502 Broadmead Drive, Houston. The plaintiffs say they contracted with Enchanted Homes to purchase the property in October 2017. The suit says the defendant agreed to complete several tasks, including repairing a broken door trim, replacing a chipped bathtub, and fixing a leak, repairing sheetrock and adding missing electrical outlets.

The plaintiffs allege Enchanted Homes and Samartzis breached the amendment to contract and failed to complete the work in a good and workmanlike manner. The damages are estimated to be more than $100,000, the suit says.

The Galvanis seek actual and consequential damages, exemplary damages, reasonable and necessary attorney fees, interest and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Matthew A. Kornhauser of Hoover Slovacek LLP in Houston.
