HOUSTON – A Harris County woman is suing an Uptown Houston Italian restaurant following an alleged slip and fall almost two years ago.

Linda Borwell filed a personal injury lawsuit against North Italia and Fox Restaurant Concepts, LLC in the Harris County 157th District Court on Mar. 20.

Borwell explains that she was at the eatery located at 1700 Post Oak Blvd. on Apr. 16, 2017 when she “slipped suddenly and violently hit the floor” while walking down the hallway towards the restroom.

According to the suit, the plaintiff “was in severe pain after slipping and falling, and had trouble getting up.”

“(Borwell) realized she had fallen on liquid that had spilled on the defendant’s floor near the water re-filling station,” court papers say.

Borwell attributes the subject incident on an apparent lack of warning signs.

She seeks unspecified monetary damages.

Daniel B. Cratty of The Cratty Law Firm, PLLC in Sugar Land is representing the complainant.
