MARSHALL — A Longview customer is suing Dollar Tree, alleging that she slipped and fell on a puddle of product at one of the defendant's stores.
Lashonda Stinson filed a complaint March 25 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Dollar Tree Stores Inc. alleging negligence and premises liability.
According to the complaint, Stinson was a guest on Dollar Tree property, 1725 West Loop 281, Longview, on Feb. 27. The suit says Stinson slipped and fell to the ground due to a puddle of Armor All that had been left on the ground.
The plaintiff says she suffered injuries to her head, neck, back, legs and buttocks, plus physical pain, mental anguish and disfigurement. The suit says Dollar Tree failed to inspect and mop the floor aisles.
Stinson seeks damages for medical expenses, compensation, costs of court and payment in excess of $75,000. She is represented by attorneys Carson R. Runge and Brandon L. Beagley of Sloan, Hatcher, Perry, Runge, Robertson & Smith in Longview.
