HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing an energy company, alleging the defendant's negligence caused her to slip and fall while on its property.

Maurice Forrester filed a complaint March 27 in Harris County District Court against Valero Energy Corporation, alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, Forrester was at the Valero business, 7911 Wilcrest Drive, Houston on Feb. 19. The suit says she slipped and fell on oil in a parking lot due to the defendant's negligence and failure to clean up or warn of the danger.

The plaintiff says she suffered serious and permanent bodily injuries.

Forrester seeks relief between $200,000 and less than $1 million, trial by jury and all further relief. She is represented by attorney Richard Jason Nava of Bellaire.
