GALVESTON — A League City woman is suing a roofing company, alleging the defendant's guarantee was inaccurate and she was caused to experience insufficient repairs.

Deanna Rehm filed a complaint April 10 in Galveston County District Court against Lux Roofing Systems Inc,. and Tony Lux, alleging negligent misrepresentation, fraud, violations of the Deceptive Trade Practice Act, fraud and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Rehm was purchasing a home in November 2012 and was in touch with Lux Roofing regarding the roofing of the house at 2512 Northenr Dive, League City. The plaintiff says she entered into a contract agreement for roofing, which included a 20-year warranty against leaks.

The suit alleges the roof began to leak in December 2016 and Lux Roofing came to make repairs. However, the suit says, the roof again began leaking in August 2017 and the defendant again came to repair it.

In September 2018, Rehm says, another leak occurred and she informed the defendants that she was seeking help from another company as Lux had failed to do any interior repair work for the damages caused by the leaking roof.

Rehm seeks attorney fees, monetary damages between $100,000 and $200,000, punitive damages, interest, court costs and all other relief just. She is represented by attorney John A. Buckley Jr. of League City.
