JACKSON LEWIS: Jackson Lewis Expands Employment Litigation Practice with Danielle Alexis Matthews in Dallas

Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Danielle Alexis Matthews has joined the firm’s Dallas office as a Principal. Mrs. Matthews joins the firm from Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP and contributes almost 19 years of experience managing the full facet of employment law matters for employers throughout the state. She is the sixth attorney to join the firm’s growing Dallas office within the last two years.

“Danielle is known throughout the Dallas legal community as a fearless advocate for her clients,” said Dallas Office Managing Principal Paul E. Hash. “That client-first mentality, combined with her energy, enthusiasm and strength in litigation, makes her a natural fit for the firm.”

Mrs. Matthews has experience in a variety of employment law matters, including class and collective actions, wage and hour and related issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act (TCHRA), the Texas Workers' Compensation Act (TWCA), and similar state and federal statutes and regulations, as well as in employment-related breach of contract cases. Mrs. Matthews regularly trains client supervisors/managers on a wide range of key labor and employment issues, including sexual harassment, discrimination, workplace bullying and related topics.

On a daily basis, Mrs. Matthews regularly communicates and interfaces with key management personnel and human resources representatives to provide insight and legal advice to those individuals on a range of personnel issues. She represents and counsels clients in an array of industries, including but not limited to healthcare, manufacturing, financial, technology and retail.

Mrs. Matthews earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, magna cum laude, and her B.A. from Washington & Jefferson College, summa cum laude. She is Board Certified in Labor and Employment by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
