Car accident 19

HOUSTON — A Baytown motorist is suing the driver of an oil field services tractor and truck, alleging he failed to slow down in traffic and caused a crash.

John Ledwig filed a complaint April 17 in Harris County District Court against M& C Oilfield Services Inc., Mudd Construction LLC, formerly known as M&C Oilfield Services LLC, and Kenneth Constance, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 8, 2017, Ledwig was driving on the 3900 block of Massey Tompkins Road in Baytown. The suit says Constance, who was driving a truck and trailer on behalf of M&C Oilfield Services and Mudd Construction, failed to stop as needed in traffic, causing him to crash into the plaintiff's vehicle.

Ledwig alleges the defendants' failure to slow down and observe a proper lookout caused injuries to the plaintiff's back, neck, shoulders, head and body. The plaintiff says he sustained pain and suffering, impairment and future loss of earning capacity.

Ledwig seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, costs of court and all just and equitable relief. He is represented by attorneys Joe K. Mitchell and S. Monette Porter of The Linebaugh Law Firm PC. in Baytown.
