Construction company alleges financial firm failed to pay for completed work

HOUSTON — A Houston construction company is suing a financial firm, alleging the plaintiff was not paid for work completed.

Aquatic Solutions of Texas filed a complaint April 26 in Harris County District Court against BBVA Compass Bancshares Inc., alleging breach of suretyship and tortious interference.

According to the complaint Aquatic Solutions was providing construction services to a number of customers at the Bell Tech facility in Houston for which the defendant was the surety provider. The suit states BBVA has failed to pay the plaintiff for the work it completed.

Aquatic Solutions of Texas seeks relief between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, actual damages, consequential damages, court costs and all other just relief. It is represented by attorney Ramez F. Shamieh of Shamieh Law PLLC in Dallas.
