HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing a doctor who allegedly left a piece of equipment in the plaintiff after surgery.

Henry Murphy Jr., filed a complaint on April 30 in Harris County District Court, against Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, alleging negligence.

Murphy says he was a patient of Nowzaradan's between Sept. 13, 2011, and Dec. 31, 2015. In September 2018, the suit says, Murphy had a CT scan because he was suffering from pain. The defendant allegedly had left a drain tube in the plaintiff, which had to be removed through another surgery.

Murphy seeks between $100,000 and $200,000, interest and all other just and equitable relief. He is represented by attorneys William S. Featherston and Phillip A. Pfeiffer of Houston.
