HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston property management company, alleging she was injured when a ceiling collapsed on her.

Rosemarie Ofesi filed a complaint May 13 in Harris County District Court against Karya Property Management LLC and Lakeside Forest LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Ofesi was visiting a friend Dec. 31, 2018, at Lakeside Forest Apartment, 1251 Wilcrest Drive, Houston. The plaintiff alleges she was in her friend's master bedroom when the ceiling collapsed and fell on her, resulting in head, neck and back injuries.

Ofesi seeks trial by jury, damages between $200,000 and $1 million, court costs, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Megan C. Savage and Scott P. Armstrong of Armstrong Lee Savage LLP in Houston.
