GALVESTON — A bank is suing a Dickinson chiropractic practice, alleging the plaintiff was not paid the nearly $34,000 it was owed.

Moody National Bank filed a complaint May 15 in Galveston County District Court against Chiropractic Medicine PLLC, alleging failure to pay and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Moody National was given a promissory note by Chiropractic Medicine on March 15, 2018. The amount was for $40,000, the suit says, and it obligated the defendant to make monthly installments to the plaintiff on the 15th day of each month.

The suit states Chiropractic Medicine has failed to pay the plaintiff in accordance with the note's terms and is indebted Moody National for the balance of $33,938.86, plus interest.

Moody National Bank seeks the damages of $33,938.86, plus interest, attorney fees and all other just relief. It is represented by attorneys Michael G. Adams and Melissa E. Palmer of Greer, Herz & Adams LLP in Galveston.
