GALVESTON — A Harris County woman is suing a cruise ship company, alleging she was injured when she fell aboard a ship.

Michelle Wilson filed a complaint June 6 in Galveston County District Court against Cruises to Nowhere LLC and M/V Jacks or Better 1, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Wilson was aboard the defendant's Jacks or Better 1 vessel May 20, 2017. The suit says as Wilson began walking toward the ship's casino she slipped and fell on the deck due to a buildup of moisture and lack of non-slip coating. The plaintiff alleges she sustained lasting and severe injuries, plus impairment and lack of enjoyment of life.

Wilson seeks trial by jury, damages between $200,000 and $1 million, court costs, medical fees and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Michael E. Pierce and James P. Lamey of Pierce Skrabanek PLLC in Houston.
