MARSHALL — A Mississippi motorist is suing another driver, alleging that he was forced to crash due to the defendant's negligent driving.

Taiwan King filed a complaint June 10 in the Marshall Division for the Eastern District of Texas against Cardinal Services LLC and Raegan Lemaire, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, King was driving his Peterbuilt tractor-trailer Jan. 23, on U.S. Highway 59 in Shelby County, Texas. The suit says Lemaire, who was driving for Cardinal Services on the same road, negligently made an unsafe U-turn, failed to yield to the plaintiff and forced King's tractor-trailer off the road and into a ditch.

The plaintiff alleges he sustained serious injuries that led to disfigurement, surgery and medical expenses.

King seeks trial by jury, medical care and expenses, interest, exemplary damages and all other equitable relief. He is represented by attorneys Josh B. Maness in Waskom and Ryan H. Zehlf, Matt L. Martin and Zachary P. McFarlane of Zehl & Associates PC in Houston.
