Consumer alleges Massachusetts debt collection agency ignored request not to phone her

HOUSTON — A Texas woman is suing a Massachusetts debt collection agency, alleging she was repeatedly called despite requests not to call.

Brenda J. Rose filed a complaint June 24 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Allied Interstate LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and violation of the Texas Debt Collection Practices Act, 

According to the complaint, Rose incurred a debt and began to be called by the defendant in April. The plaintiff says she has requested that Allied Interstate stop calling, but the defendant has failed to comply with her request. Rose says the multiple harassing calls have disrupted her daily life and her general well-being.

Rose seeks trial by jury, actual and punitive damages, court costs and other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Alexander J. Taylor, Marwan R. Daher and Omar T. Sulaiman of Sulaiman Law Group Ltd. in Lombard, Illinois.
