HOUSTON — A land clearing company is suing an investment business, alleging the defendant failed to pay $8,500 for work the plaintiff delivered.

Best Row Land Clearing Inc. filed a complaint July 2 in Harris County District Court against Elson R. Juarez and Kevin Juarez Investments LLC, alleging foreclosure of lien, misapplication of construction trust funds and personal liability.

According to the complaint, Best Row Land Clearing was hired by the defendant to supply labor and materials for property improvements at 10444 Rosecroft Drive, Houston. The plaintiff alleges the work and supplies have been provided but it has not been paid.

Best Row said it properly took out a lien against the property for the amount owed, which is $8,500, in order to secure payment.

Best Row Land Clearing seeks actual damages of $8,500, attorney fees, interest, judgment against the defendant and all other just relief. It is represented by attorneys Karalynn C. Cromeens and Myesha L. Cook of The Cromeens Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
