HOUSTON — A Houston Texans fan is suing the owners of NRG Stadium, alleging she was caused to trip and fall over a structure that was placed negligently.

Maria Frank filed a complaint July 6 in Harris County District Court against Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation, SMG and Aramark Sports & Entertainment Services LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Frank was at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sept. 10, 2017, for a Texans football game. As Frank approached the entrance to Section 134/135, the suit says, she tripped and fell over a structure that apparently covered a large cable. The plaintiff alleges she sustained significant and debilitating injuries, plus pain and mental anguish.

Frank seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Christopher C. Garcia of Chris Garcia Law Group P.C. in Houston.
