HOUSTON — A customer is suing a grocery chain, alleging she slipped and fell due a wet floor.

Delfina Leticia Tamez filed a complaint July 12 in Harris County District Court against H-E-B LP, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Tamez was at a H-E-B store, 3111 Woodridge Cove Drive., Suite 500, Houston, on May 18, 2018. The suit says Tamez slipped and fell on a wet sport near the produce section, which had not been clearly marked or sufficiently cleaned.

The plaintiff says she sustained injuries due to the fall, had to seek out medical treatment and required to take time off from work.

Tamez seeks monetary relief up to $200,000, actual damages, expenses, prejudgment interest, costs of suit and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Dylan J. Clewis of The Novak Law Firm in Houston.
