HOUSTON — A Houston man is suing his business partners, alleging they were unjustly enriched at his expense.

Hieu Phan filed a complaint Aug. 14 in Harris County District Court against Value Creed LLC and Priyankar Datta, alleging breach of express contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, Phan became a member of Value Creed in October 2017 and was informed that profits would be split evenly. The suit states Phan agreed to the terms of the membership and contributed $37,500 for his portion.

The lawsuit states another member joined April 4, 2018, without Phan's consent, and in July 2018 he informed the other members that he wanted to leave the venture. The plaintiff, however, was given a low sellout proposal which he turned down. The plaintiff says he has not been given the money back that he invested.

Phan seeks attorney fees, court costs, expenses, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by attorneys S. Lloyd Neal III and Blaise D. Williams of Dunn and Neal LLP in Houston, and by Andrew B. Bender of The Bender Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
