Brazoria County motorist alleges another driver caused crash

HOUSTON — A Brazoria County motorist is suing another driver, alleging he caused a car crash that injured the plaintiff.

Thomas Ejede filed a complaint Aug. 12 in Harris County District Court against Rodolfo Rodriguez, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Ejede was injured March 16, when Rodriguez's vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Southwest Freeway and West South Houston S. Parkway, Houston. The suit alleges the defendant struck Ejede's car on the driver's side, resulting in injuries to the plaintiff's head, neck and back.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to control his vehicle speed, operate it in a safe manner or take evasive measures.

Ejede seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, interest and all just relief. He is represented by attorney Charles T. Devine of Daspit Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
