San Antonio tax attorney, Brad Oxford, will guide ERISA counsel and plan sponsors on potential audit risks relating to their 401(k) and other retirement plans in a webinar on October 1, 2019 titled "Retirement Plan Audits: Recognizing Plan Errors, Remedying Noncompliance, New IRS and DOL Audit Initiatives."
Brad Oxford is a tax attorney who practices in the areas of employee benefit law, executive compensation, estate planning, and probate.
Oxford has extensive experience advising private, public, and tax-exempt clients on retirement plan, welfare benefit plan, and executive compensation matters, including plan design and implementation, administration, compliance requirements under ERISA with the IRS and Department of Labor, fiduciary duty issues, voluntary corrections, audits, and mergers and acquisitions. He assists clients regularly with regard to 401(k) plans, defined benefit pension plans, 403(b) and 457 plans, and ESOPs.
In the welfare benefit plan area, Oxford has advised clients on COBRA, HIPAA, cafeteria plans, occupational injury plans, and health care reform. His work in the executive compensation area includes the design, drafting, and provision of tax advice regarding bonus plans, incentive and nonqualified stock option plans, deferred compensation plans, and severance plans.
Brad also has extensive experience in the estate planning and probate area preparing and providing counsel on wills and trusts, family limited partnerships, gift and generation skipping tax planning, estate and gift tax returns, tax planning for retirement plan and IRA distributions, marital property agreements, buy sell agreements, and estate administration matters.
