HOUSTON — A Fort Bend woman is suing a Houston limousine company, alleging she was not paid for overtime hours.

Linda Johnson filed a complaint Sept. 5 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Royal Carriages Limousine Inc., and Hussein Alyassin, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Johnson was employed by Royal Carriages for three years and would regularly work in excess of 40 hours a week. Despite fulfilling the obligations for receiving overtime pay, the defendant failed to pay the plaintiff appropriately, violating the FLSA.

Johnson seeks liquidated damages, attorney fees, court costs, all just relief and interest. She is represented by attorney Douglas B. Welmaker of Moreland Verrett PC in Austin.
