HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston bar, alleging she war injured due to defective premises.
Delphia Lewis filed a complaint Aug. 29 in Harris County District Court against Dreams Bar and Lounge, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, Lewis was working as a bartender at Dreams Bar, 3321 Dixie Drive, Houston on Aug. 2. The suit alleges Lewis was picking up glasses that had been left on the bar by customers. The plaintiff says when she walked behind the bar, and was holding the glasses, she fell over a broken cabinet door, falling and being pierced by shattered glass through her hands, arms and legs.
The plaintiff alleges she sustained pain and suffering, mental anguish and disfigurement due to the defendant's failure to provide a safe premises.
Lewis seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs, interest and just relief. She is represented by attorneys Erica Bhachawat and John Arthur Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
