HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing Houston property owners, alleging she was injured in a Galleria parking garage.

Tammy Hackworth filed a complaint Aug. 29 in Harris County District Court against Simon Property Group (TEXAS) LP and H.G. Galleria I, II, III GP LP, and HG Galleria LLC, alleging liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, Hackworth was at the Galleria 505 Westheimer Road, on Oct. 17, 2017. The suit alleges Hackworth parked in the defendants' purple garage and as she exited her car she stepped into a man-made hole that was obstructed from her view.

The suit alleges the plaintiff sustained physical injuries, leading to medical, hospital and pharmaceutical expenses and loss of enjoyment of life.

Hackworth seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury, attorney fees, court costs and all just relief. She is represented by attorney Katherine M. James of The James Law Firm in Houston.
