HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing Houston apartment management owners, alleging she was injured when falling in an unmarked hole.

Vanessa Ross filed a complaint Aug. 30 in Harris County District Court against Eureka Multifamily Group GP Inc., doing business as Sterling Point and Milagra Apartments, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Ross was at the defendant's property, 6601 Dunlap Road, Houston, on Nov. 11, 2017. Ross alleges she fell in a hole on the sidewalk and sustained serious and life-altering injuries as well as medical expenses.

The plaintiff says the defendant should have known of the dangers posed by the faulty sidewalk but failed to remedy it before Ross was harmed.

Ross seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. She is represented by attorney Matthew Menter of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
