Joe V's customer alleges negligence caused fall

HOUSTON — A  Harris County woman is suing a Houston business, alleging that she was caused to slip and fall on the defendant's premises.

Etta Calloway filed a complaint Sept. 3 in Harris County District Court against Joe V's, alleging negligence

According to the complaint, Calloway was Joe V's, 755 W. Bellfort Blvd., Houston, when she fell on a floor that had become slippery. The suit states Calloway sustained injuries to her legs and spine and had to endure pain, anxiety and illness.

The plaintiff alleges Joe V's was negligent through failing to ensure that the ground was clean and free of dangers.

Calloway seeks monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Richard M. Cole III in Houston.
