HOUSTON — A Harris County construction site worker is suing a builder, alleging he was injured due to negligent safety procedures.

Crescenciano Almanza filed a complaint Sept. 4 in Harris County District Court against Felix Hernandez and Rystar Builders, alleging negligence and liability.

According to the complaint, on May 28 Almanza was injured when he fell while working on a building at 8711 N. Sam Houston Parkway, Houston. The plaintiff alleges he had been subcontracted by Rystar, and the defendant was responsible for implementing appropriate fall protection measures at the construction site.

By allegedly failing to take the appropriate measures and safety procedures, the plaintiff sustained serious injuries that otherwise would have been avoidable.

Almanza seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Rick Molina in Houston.
