Employee accuses Harris County Hospital District of age discrimination

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman in her 50s is suing a health care district, alleging age discrimination

Yolanda M. Tucker filed a complaint Sept. 5 in Harris County District Court against Harris County Hospital District, also known as Harris Health System, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the 1964 Civil Rights Act. 

According to the complaint, Tucker, who was born in 1968, was discriminated against at work due to her age. The plaintiff alleges that she was subjected to abusive working conditions and that her conditions made it difficult and/or impossible for her to complete her tasks.

Tucker seeks damages, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Woodrow Epperson of Kerrville.
