Kemah Boardwalk alleges Nautic Group owes more than $170,000 for commercial boat slip lease

GALVESTON — A Kemah marina alleges The Nautic Group and its owner owe more than $170,000 for the lease of a commercial boat slip.

Kemah Boardwalk Marina filed a complaint Nov. 4 in Galveston County District Court against The Nautic Group, Inc and Kevin Kaiser, alleging breach of a lease agreement. 

According to the complaint, Kemah and Nautic entered into a lease agreement May 1, 2017 for the use of a commercial boat slip at the marina. Kemah alleges Nautic "abandoned" the leased boat slip and has failed to pay a balance of $170,500 plus 18 percent interest, per their leasing agreement. "

The plaintiff alleges the continue to refuse to pay the owed amount. 

Kemah seeks monetary relief of $170,500, litigation costs and all other just relief. It is represented by attorney Alan Scheinthal of The Scheinthal Law Firm in Houston.
