Former Trendsetter Engineering technician alleges low overtime rate when working offshore

HOUSTON — Trendsetter Engineering faces a class action suit filed by a former service technician who alleges he was not compensated for all the hours worked. 

Ryan Jozwiak, individually and for all others similarly situated persons, filed a complaint  Nov. 14 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Trendsetter Engineering Inc., alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). 

According to the complaint, Jozwiak worked for Trendsetter from June 2018 through June 2019 and maintained the company's offshore oil and gas equipment. He alleges he and other Trendsetter employees worked more than 40 hours per week. He alleges they were paid for hours worked but when working offshore, they were paid an "improper low overtime rate," in violation of the FLSA

Jozwiak seeks monetary relief, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by attorneys Josef Buenker and Vijay Pattisapu of The Buenker Law Firm in Houston.
