HOUSTON — A Houston woman alleges she received unsolicited phone calls regarding her medical debt in violation of federal and Texas law.
Sandra Listebarger filed a complaint Nov. 13 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Capio Partners LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Texas Debt Collection Act (TDCA).
Listebarger alleges she received numerous calls from Capio regarding her unpaid medical debt, despite requesting that the calls stop and never receiving anything in writing from Capio about her debt.
The plaintiff seeks monetary and injunctive relief, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Joseph Davidson and Mohammed Badwan of Sulaiman Law Group LTD in Lombard, Illinois.
