HOUSTON — A woman who slipped on an oily staircase while performing services on tanks owned and operated by Albemarle and Azko Nobel Chemicals is alleging liability.
Gabby Tovar filed a complaint Feb. 19 in the Harris County District Court against Albemarle Inc., and Azko Nobel Chemicals Inc., alleging liability.
Tovar was working at a job site owned by the defendants on Feb. 26, 2018. She alleges that while walking out of a tank, she slipped on a staircase that was covered in oil and suffered injuries. Tovar claims the defendants failed to warn of the dangerous condition that was on their premises and negligently allowed the condition to exist.
Tovar seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief.
