Webinar: What the New CFIUS Rules Mean for Real Estate Deals

Thursday, March 5, 2020

Noon EST

As a result of legislation passed in 2018, effective February 13, 2020, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) will have jurisdiction to review transactions that convey certain rights in U.S. real estate to foreign persons, other than parties from Australia, Canada and the UK who meet certain criteria.

In this webinar, Gina Mavica, partner in our real estate practice, and Barbara Linney, partner and co-leader of our International Trade and National Security team, will explain the new rules and answer your questions regarding how to determine if your transaction is subject to CFIUS jurisdiction, as well as the factors to consider when deciding whether to seek CFIUS review.

Presenters:

Barbara Linney, Partner, BakerHostetler
