Anna DeMaggio (Associate-Houston) will discuss “Disruption to Construction Projects Due to COVID-19” at the May 12, 2020, virtual monthly meeting of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Anna will address whether the Texas State of Emergency and Proclamation of National Emergency due to the coronavirus outbreak will allow contractors extra time and compensation on projects; how project documentation has changed during the pandemic and what must be documented in order to get paid and mitigate risks; and whether the insurance policies, including the insurance of lower-tier contractors and suppliers, will provide coverage for the claims related to coronavirus.
