Microphone2 1000x667

Holland & Knight recently issued the following announcement.

Please join Holland & Knight's Government Contracts Group for "COVID-Related Disruptions: A Comprehensive Approach to Contract Adjustments." Our live roundtable discussion will detail a framework for recovery of prime and subcontract costs and delays caused by contract performance disruptions related to COVID-19. The presentation also will address specific requirements under the U.S. Department of Defense's (DOD) "Implementation Guidance for Section 3610 of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act."

Topics include:

use of existing contract clauses and remedies (e.g., changes, suspension of work, stop work, delay clauses), and the advantages and disadvantages of each

practical approaches to working with contracting officers to address COVID-19 restrictions to minimize the impact on contract performance, as well as early documentation of facts establishing both entitlement and quantum

potential recovery for paid leave costs associated with employees who are unable to access their assigned worksite or telecommute but must be kept ready to resume performance promptly once restrictions are lifted under Section 3610 of the CARES Act

preparing and submitting equitable adjustment requests or negotiating contract modifications providing relief, including determining the applicable rate for employees placed on COVID-related leave

compliance with the various certification and other requirements under DOD's and other agency guidance relating to Section 3610

Our attorneys have already gained extensive experience advising and representing contractors of all sizes and across a variety of industries in formulating strategies for early resolution of contract administration issues. They also are well versed in handling formal Requests for Equitable Adjustments and claims arising from worksite and other restrictions related to COVID-19, both in the United States and overseas.

We hope you will join us for this highly informative and timely discussion, which will include a Q&A session.
