HOUSTON — A man is seeking more than $1 million in a suit claiming he fell into an uncovered hole while on the Waste Management of Texas premises and suffered injuries.

Joseph Garza filed a complaint March 26 in Harris County District Court against Waste Management of Texas Inc., alleging negligence.

Garza was employed by Castellanos Investment & Management Group and was doing business at Waste Management of Texas' premises in Nordheim on July 9, 2019, according to this complaint.

He alleges that while working on the premises, he fell into a hole that was left uncovered and suffered injuries. Garza claims the uncovered hole created an "unreasonably dangerous condition" and that the defendant failed to warn of the hazard or make the dangerous condition by covering the hole and making the premises "safe for invitees."

He also claims he has suffered lost wages and impairment and has incurred medical treatment expenses as a result of his injuries.

Garza seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Andrea Roth of Brann Sullivan Trial Lawyers in Houston.
