Bailey & Glasser LLP issued the following announcement on Apr. 14.

“Don’t Mess With Texas” takes on a whole new meaning as Bailey Glasser announces the opening of a new Dallas office, and that top-notch Texas lawyers John Turner and Robert Bell have joined the firm at this new location.

“John and Robert are excellent lawyers, and I am pleased to welcome them to Bailey Glasser,” said Brian Glasser, the firm’s CEO and co-founder. “The official Texas motto of ‘friendship’ describes how we are welcoming aboard two seasoned litigators with their broad experience, and why we are thrilled to be opening our first Texas outpost in Dallas. Our clients will appreciate their broad experience as well as their excellent Texas-style client service, as well as their access to Bailey Glasser’s national and deep bench of litigators and corporate attorneys.”

John Turner has 30 years of commercial litigation experience and has tried cases in state and federal courts throughout the country. His practice encompasses a wide variety of litigation matters including fraud, director and officer liability, accounting malpractice, legal malpractice, fraudulent transfers and creditor’s rights. Robert Bell’s practices focuses on two primary areas: commercial litigation and appellate law. Robert regularly handles cases involving creditor’s rights, fraudulent transfer claims, bankruptcies and adversary proceedings, director and officer liability, legal malpractice, accounting malpractice and fidelity bond claims.

Notably, John and Robert were part of the trial team in a case brought by the FDIC against PricewaterhouseCoopers, which garnered national attention as one of the largest, if not the largest, judgments ever entered in the United States against a Big Four accounting firm in the amount of $625 million. Additionally, as lead counsel, John and Robert obtained a $161 million jury verdict on behalf of the FDIC in a mortgage fraud case that was affirmed on appeal by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. This was the 11th largest verdict in the United States that year.

“I am excited to join the litigation team at Bailey Glasser,” said John Turner. “I have had the privilege of handling many high-stakes matters for clients during my career, and I look forward to continuing to provide them with top-notch service here at the new Texas office at Bailey Glasser.”

“I’m delighted to join Bailey Glasser’s national firm,” said Robert Bell. “The collaborative culture that the firm has created among practice groups, and the caliber of attorneys, will be beneficial for my clients. I look forward to working with my new colleagues providing excellent service to all our clients.”
